Founded in 1971, the Tri-County Aquatic League is a not-for-profit, summer youth swim league composed of community teams in three central-Ohio counties: Fairfield, Franklin and Licking. The goal of the league is to develop young competitive swimmers in a fun, family-friendly environment. League season begins in early June and ends in July. Teams participate in a variety of meets throughout the season. Dual and tri meets are typical and occasionally an invitational is held. The season ends with a league championship meet for all teams. With a few league modifications, the swimming rules are those of United States Swimming.
For 2017, the League added two new teams. The team count now stands at 13. The new teams are Johnstown and Muskingum. Johnstown's home pool is at New Albany High School, and they are the Jags. Muskingum swims in Zanesville and they are the Makos. Both new teams feature indoor pools for their home meets. TCAL Officials & Meet Manager Training The Tri-County Aquatic League offers Officials and Meet Manager Training Courses before the start of each season. The Officials course is suitable for new and current officials. Parents who want to become officials will get all the info they need to qualify as volunteer officials in meets. This course is also an excellent review for current officials. Same thing for the Meet Manager course. New or current computer operators are invited to enroll.
Please contact your coach or league representative to sign up for the any available training sessions.
